Following the success of Sleepio the decision was made to expand on the product suite and use CBT to help the roughly 20% of adults who experience clinically significant worry and anxiety each year.

We created a working model that could be replicated for future disorders that included the trifecta of Clinical Expertise → Creative Content → Product Design. This would ensure that whatever we created would be rooted in clinical excellence and the most up-to-date product thinking.

We took the principles of what happens in the therapist office and translated that into a digital experience, opening up access to clinical grade help to anyone with a smartphone. The therapeutic content  pivots around the intimacy of audio and the power of storytelling, connecting with the patient in way that feels more approachable than face-to-face therapy.

Scenarios, techniques, advice and check-ins are all voiced and animated in a relatable, informative manner that teaches patients everything they need to take back control over their anxiety.

I collaborated with a clinical professional to script, storyboard, direct and design the animations and worked with the larger product design team to finesse the interface and interactions.

The Brand was designed to be calm, ecouraging and empowering. Interviewing users to discover what they were most looking for and turning those insights into headlines and copy that talked in the language that real people were using.

In a peer-reviewed clinical trial, patients experienced lasting recovery from anxiety. The patients that used Daylight achieved 71% clinical improvement in anxiety and 57% reported improvement in overall mood.
